Alex & Josh
We are
Our story began long-distance, built on intention, faith, and a shared love for adventure. Travel quickly became part of our relationship — shaping not only how we fell in love, but how we learned to navigate life together with patience and purpose.
You’ll likely find us outside — hiking, chasing high-adrenaline adventures, or spending an entire day photographing bison while listening to the wind move through tall grass. We love Alaska for its wild beauty, but we’re equally happy hopping from coffee shop to coffee shop, tasting pastries, and planning our next trip. For us, the best days are a mix of wonder, laughter, and being fully present — and that spirit carries into the way we work with our couples.
WE met...
We love travel in all its forms — chasing new places, new experiences, and the best pastries along the way. From wild ice skating and mountain hikes to editing side by side and laughing at Josh’s endless puns, our days are rooted in curiosity, care, and fun. At the heart of it all, we love doing life together and inviting others into the joy of it.
WE LOVE...
We do this work because we love people — truly. Creating elopement experiences allows us to serve couples in a way that feels creative, personal, and deeply meaningful. We love getting to know you, dreaming alongside you, and crafting experiences that feel thoughtful and intentional — from custom planning support to small surprises, meaningful activities, or gifts woven into your day. This heart for care and service is the foundation of our Cherished approach, and it’s why every elopement we create is designed to feel personal, joyful, and genuinely memorable.

I’ve always felt a kinship with people who feel most alive outdoors — the ones who find connection in shared adventure and meaning in wide open spaces. Early in my career photographing traditional weddings, I noticed how often couples felt rushed, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the commitment they were making. Time and time again, I heard the same thing afterward: “I wish we would have eloped.” That realization changed everything.
I became an avid traveler myself, spending a season living out of my Prius, driving all over the U.S. and documenting wedding days that felt intentional and deeply personal. Today, I call Alaska home and create elopement experiences rooted in thoughtful planning and honest storytelling, so couples walk away feeling present, connected, and genuinely changed by their day.

That’s one of the reasons we love guiding couples into these environments. When the day slows down and the focus returns to presence, faith, and connection, the experience becomes more than a wedding day. It becomes a meaningful beginning — a moment you can look back on for years to come and remember exactly why you chose each other.
In wild and beautiful places, distractions fade and the moment becomes clearer. Surrounded by mountains, glaciers, forests, or ocean, couples often find themselves slowing down, breathing a little deeper, and remembering the promise they’re making and the life they’re beginning together. There’s something powerful about speaking vows in a place that reflects the beauty, depth, and wonder of the commitment you’re stepping into.
You’ve found your person. We’re here to help you create an elopement that feels intentional, grounded, and genuinely yours. You don't need to have a date, location, or activity ideas before reaching out. Helping you dream all that up is our favorite part!
