Where do I begin with how amazing Alex and is?
Inquiring about booking:
- Alex was incredibly accommodating to my husband and I. She worked through all the details, was straight forward, and kind, and helped work with me on my budget and gave me an amazing deal (truly amazing).
Engagement photos:
The package we agreed on included an engagement shoot (highly recommend). Alex took care to ask us questions about our relationship, things that we enjoyed and some of our favorite things about one another and what we do for each other. It was special to reminisce.
She also made us both feel super comfortable. I was worried I’d be awkward (not a natural model).. she made it fun. It wasn’t like we were there by ourselves. It was better, it felt like we were there with one of our good friends! She found the most interesting spots too! She pulls all the stops and goes far beyond just taking photos, she captured the truly intimate and special moments that happen in a blink of an eye.
She also incorporated some of the questions she prepared before the shoot. It was seriously one of the best days and one we both cherish!
Wedding:
Our wedding was cancelled due to covid. I cannot stress enough how helpful she was. Alex is, after all, an elopement photographer.. I had no idea I would be using this service of hers when we agreed on our payment. She was extremely helpful. She helped me make a timeline for our VERY impromptu wedding day, offered suggestions and brought props for us to do a little photo shoot. She came hours early and brought bins and bins of decorations and made a typical Airbnb truly incredible. I was honestly discouraged because the day was supposed to be filled with family and friends..but I walked down the stairs and felt as special as a bride should feel... Many helpful hands lended to this, but Alex did go above and beyond anything I could have imagined.
Alex is the kind of photographer you want at your wedding or event, through and through. She has incredible talent. She knows how to use the camera, yes, but is aware of all her surroundings and can seriously use anything and make it awesome. She’ll capture the things you don’t think anyone will, she’ll work with you should life happen and plans change. If I could give this more stars I would.
So yeah, 5+++++++++++ stars for this small business.

We’d recommend Alex and Josh to any couple looking for a personal, authentic, and stress-free experience, especially if you want to feel fully present in a magical, natural setting.
From the start, planning and communication were clear, warm, and stress-free. On the day, their calm and positive energy made everything feel natural and fun, even though we’re not usually comfortable in front of the camera. They guided us gently while letting real moments unfold, creating a relaxed and safe space that shows beautifully in every photo and video.
What really impressed us was their thoughtfulness and preparation — they anticipated details we hadn’t even considered and were flexible with the unpredictable Alaska weather. Our photos and video capture not just the scenery but also our emotions and connection in such a genuine way.

After our session with Alex, I’d recommend her to anyone who is looking for both stunning photos and the opportunity to spend quality time with your loved one. Her adventurous spirit shines through in all her work, which creates an environment that isn’t just an average or awkward photo shoot but rather an exciting and enjoyable lasting memory. Alex didn’t focus on posing us; instead she let us be our natural selves and captured an authentic representation of our relationship.
We had some mutual acquaintances so I had seen her photography for a few years and knew I wanted to hire her if I ever got married. Well, I did get married and having her as our photographer was by far one of the best decisions we made. For context, we got married literally in the forest over an hour from an airport/metro area. She shot the entire thing herself, including the day or two events before the ceremony. Her skill at photography is beyond anything—it’s not just skill at “editing” but her actual eye for and ability to capture the moments is second to none and her versatility and scope of skill set is vast. We couldn’t believe some of the images she was able to capture and how WELL our story was told.
Beyond her incredible photography skills, her character is top of the line and her personality is wonderful. She’s fun and easy going, humble and respectful. She’s able to very gracefully deal with difficult or unexpected situations that may come up and alter the plans. We honestly became great friends after this experience with her.
It seems like people that think they're photographers these days are a dime a dozen. Having someone who is truly gifted and has honed that gift over years of experience, plus is just an incredible person, is priceless. Photography is the capture of the most precious things we have on this earth—our lives, our families, our friends, our memories. It’s worthy of a wise investment.
To wrap this up, no, this is not AI and, no, Alex did not pay me to write this or influence me at all. 🙂 I have loved her work since I first saw it and my own experience with it and with her have only solidified my praise of it all the more.

This is a GREAT choice for an intimate wedding photographer. They are professional and good at what they do, but thats not what stood out to us, it was how comfortable they were to work with and how much they listened and tailored it to us. After spending a little time talking through what we like and places we wanted for the photoshoot, Alex came up with some great ideas and locations and the photos turned out amazing. She made it comfortable and engaging and really helped us relax and just enjoy the moment while she captured it all much better than I would have thought possible.
Looking back at the photos now, it was well worth it having it done professionally and I'm glad I listened to my wife with this decision :) What I personally loved the most was how Alex was willing to go on any adventure we wanted to capture the moments that fit us best, and since we are both very outdoorsy, we had quite the adventure. They are good, honest people and good at what they do and I would recommend for any intimate wedding or engagement photoshoot, but if you are looking to capture that special moment in an exciting or adventurous location, these are the right people for the job.

I would highly recommend Alex & Josh. They were our engagement and wedding photographer. Our engagement shoot was a lot of fun and captured "us" as a couple.
They were even more amazing to work with on our wedding day. On our wedding day it stormed before the ceremony leading to a power outage for over 5 hours.
The rain stopped so we could have an outdoor ceremony, but the reception was by candlelight through the dinner, speeches, cake cutting, and first dances.
Alex did an amazing job dealing with the difficult lighting situations that were thrown at her (overcast, bright sunlight, candlelight, almost no light, etc.). Even with all of the unplanned events she captured our day beautifully from start to finish.
My husband and I are looking forward to ordering our wedding album (and ones for the parents) so we can look back on this day for years to come!
