Brooke + Wilhelm celebrated 10 years together with the coziest anniversary session at the cutest little seaside-themed Airbnb. The whole evening felt so them — slow, intentional, and full of the simple things they love most. We captured them curled up watching movies with popcorn, reading together, laughing in the kitchen, and just enjoying being together. Honestly, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like getting a glimpse into their real life together.

Afterward, we headed up to Mt. Adams for skyline views… and immediately got caught in an absolute downpour. Like POURING pouring. 😂 But these two fully embraced it. The umbrella lasted maybe five minutes before they ditched it completely and started dancing in the rain instead.

And somehow, after they were completely soaked, the sun came out at just the right time and gave us the dreamiest golden light over the city. The whole session ended up feeling so perfectly symbolic of their relationship — fun, carefree, deeply connected, and able to weather literally anything together.

As much as I love documenting the excitement and adventure of elopements, there’s something especially meaningful about photographing a love that’s been lived in a little. The kind of love that feels comfortable, playful, steady, and completely unapologetic in being itself. These kinds of sessions will forever have my heart.

Creating intentional experiences like this for couples — whether it’s an anniversary, a milestone, or simply wanting to freeze this season of life together — is one of my favorite things to photograph. It doesn’t have to be extravagant to be meaningful. Sometimes it looks like your favorite Airbnb, a stormy evening, a shared bag of popcorn, and a reminder of why you keep choosing each other over and over again.
